Therapeutic massage has been used for centuries to improve overall health, reduce stress, and relieve muscle tension, and prenatal massage therapy can be a key component in womens prenatal care.  It can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and even improve labour outcomes and newborn health.  During a treatment we will address many common discomforts associated with skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts during pregnancy, including swelling in the hands and feet as well as changes in the pelvis, spine and shoulders.

Holistic Manual Therapy is a diverse approach to care which includes the manual manipulation of soft and hard tissues of the body to achieve a therapeutic response. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves the circulation of the nervous system, blood and lymph, and relieves pain and stress. Treatment approaches are wide ranging and address everything from tennis elbow and TMJ dysfunction to prenatal discomfort. This form of treatment benefits men and women of all ages, as well as children and pregnant women.
